Last Day at Restaurant from Hell

It's 21st of January and approxiamately 2 days from now, I'll be saying goodbye to some great people, a Bitch and couple of Managers/Owners which doesn't know how to run a restaurant properly and treat its employees which will keep them in the long term.

Cal and I were planning to work through the Australia Day long weekend but in the past 2 days when we worked, we came to an agreement that we don't have the mental and physical capacity of go through 2 days of hard labour. There was one incident which happened on Sunday which sealed the deal for us.

We were late 30min for work on Sunday because the day before we worked till 1:30am in the morning and just didn't have the physical energy to get there on time. Instead of the owner/manager (Anothey) letting us explain why we were late. The first instance we entered the door he yelled at us for being late. Later he proceeded to say to me and another employee (who also worked till 1:30am - he worked for 17.5hrs the day before and i worked for 13.5hrs)..."You guys did a great job around Christmas and New Years; but after one mistake today, you undid all the good work you did...". So that was the point in which Cal and I won't be giving him any respect and will give no notice in us resigning.

Should be interesting how they handle it's operations without us there. On Sunday, Cal was on the pass (which is responsible for distribution of food to all customers at the place) and I was the barman. Two important positions which they were missing. On the same day, a friend of us and colleague, Jess, also couldn't handle it and quit. Also another colleague of ours and very good friend, Jonathan is also considering quitting. They could potential lose 4 very experienced and important people in less than a week, which leaves a massive hole for Australia Day and 1-2 weeks after. But Cal and I show no sympathy for them and especially for Anothey show no respect for him as a person and as a manager/owner in how he runs the place and how he treats his employees.

Our plan on Thursday is to show no respect to one specific colleague we hate (Stacey) and take our sweet sweet time. Hopefully I'll be at the bar one last time and make some really good cocktails. For all friends who read this, Thursday is the last opportunity to see us work at the Oyster Bar and for us to serve you guys!!! So hope to see you guys there....
